How to access Boingo Wifi

  1. Verify your eligibility on Boingo’s website by entering your card number on (this will take up to 24 hours*)
  2. Once verified, register for a Boingo account
  3. Download the Boingo app or visit their site to find hotspots in your area and login to your account
  4. Register up to 4 devices and enjoy your free three months Wifi with Boingo

*If your card was delivered to your home, you need to activate it first. You will then need to verify your eligibility on, and this may take up to 24 hours. If you purchase or collect your card at a Travelex store, just verify your eligibility at which may take up to 24 hours.

  • How does Boingo Wifi for Travelex Money Card holders work?

    Travelex Money Card users are eligible for Boingo Wifi for Travelex Money Card holders benefit, which allows one individual a three month membership in their plan, as well as additional three month memberships each time you top up your prepaid card. The Boingo Wifi for Travelex Money Card holders benefit offers you unlimited international access to premium Wifi at:

    • Over 1 million global hotspots
    • Thousands of premium hotels (including Marriott, Hilton and Accor), retail locations, cafes and restaurants
    • Hundreds of airports (including ORD, LGA, JFK, LAX)

    You can now enjoy simultaneous worldwide access for up to four devices without worrying about data usage limits or roaming fees.

  • How many devices are allowed on one account at a time?

    The device limit for Boingo Wifi for Travelex Money Card holders is 4 devices, and can include any combination of smartphones, tablets and laptops.

  • How long do I have the Boingo Wifi for Travelex Money Card holders benefit for?

    Each eligible top up to your prepaid card will activate Boingo Wifi for Travelex Money Card holders benefit for three months. This is subject to activation within 12 months of the day you initially load your prepaid card.

    Each time you top up you will have another 3 months free Wifi access only.

  • What is an eligible top-up?

    An eligible top-up requires your prepaid card to be topped up with $100 or more.

  • How do I register for my Boingo Wifi for Travelex Money Card Cardholders benefit?

    1. Check if your card is eligible for the Boingo Wifi for Travelex Money Card holders benefit by entering your card number in to the eligibility checker.
    2. Create your Boingo account. Your use of Boingo’s Wifi services is subject to Boingo's customer agreement, end user license agreement and other applicable legal terms and conditions, including Boingo's terms of use, privacy and security policies as stated at
    3. Receive email confirmation of your newly created Boingo account.
    4. Have access to all Boingo hotspots, Wifinder application, and Boingo Passpoint.
  • How do I renew my membership for a further 3 months following an eligible top-up?
    1. When your 3 month Boingo Membership has ended, simply return to the registration site used when first creating your Boingo account
    2. Enter your card number in to the eligibility checker
    3. If you’ve made an eligible top-up, you’ll receive a confirmation that your Boingo Membership has been activated for a further 3 months
  • Where can I connect to Boingo?

    You can locate accessible hotspots by visiting or downloading the Boingo Wi-Finder app. There is a map of hotspots on the website as well as on the mobile app, accessible via the Wi-Finder hotspot locator.

    Please note that Boingo Wifi for Travelex Money Card holders only provides international internet access and does not include access to hotspots in your home market.

  • What can I contact Travel Assistance about?

    Mastercard Travel Assistance provides Travelex Money Cardholders information on the following services:

    • Passport requirements & Visa requirements
    • Immunization/inoculation requirements
    • Foreign currency exchange rates
    • Weather forecasts and average seasonal temperatures
    • Embassy and consular referrals
      • A typical situation is if you have lost your passport

    • General information on local customs of the country you are travelling too
    • General information on business etiquette in the country you are travelling too
    • Information on national holidays and standard business hours

    • Value-Added Tax regulations
      • (excluding any legal advice, interpretation or analysis of such laws)

    • Interpretation Assistance

    • Medical Services Referral
      • Will refer you to a preferred provider in the Mastercard network database, which includes primary care physicians, clinics and hospitals. Primary care physicians are defined as referrals to the following: family practitioners, general practitioners, internists, ophthalmologists, obstetricians/gynecologists, orthopedists, and pediatricians. You will be given the name, address, telephone number, office hours and if applicable, language(s) spoken by the provider. The nature of the situation, location of the caller, and time for the day will influence whether a referral is made to an individual provider or to a hospital/emergency care facility. MASTERCARD Assistance follows up with you in each case to ensure that the service rendered was satisfactory and that no further assistance is needed
      • MASTERCARD Assistance is able to provide referrals to medical specialists in major cities and nearby areas using specific selection criteria. Specialists are defined as physicians other than those previously identified as primary care physicians. Some examples of specialists include allergists, cardiologists and endocrinologists

    • Arrangement of Appointment with Primary Care Physician for Treatment
      • Assist you to arrange for appointments with general practitioners or specialized doctors. MASTERCARD Assistance shall not be responsible for any consultation fees or other costs incurred by you when consulting with the doctors referred by MASTERCARD Assistance

    • Airport Sales Tax Refund information
      • Provide information about tourist tax refund services in airports, such as address, phone number and opening hours. Information needs to be publically available and MASTERCARD can turnaround this request

    • Emergency Services Referral
      • Provide the contact information and/or, at your request, patch the call through to the emergency service provider e.g. the Police, Traffic Police, Fire Brigade, Ambulance or any other emergency service provider

    • Travel Assistance information only requests
      • Can be fulfilled by MasterCard Travel Assistance e.g. is my Singapore driving license valid for use in the US
